Have just returned from Barcelona…As always Catalonia doesn’t stop surprising me. This time strangely the weather was not so much hot, so I had a splendid opportunity to do shopping with my friends.
Shopping in Barcelona is not so challenging as you may think. I mean that mostly all world-wide, Spanish brands are situated in one place.
At the Plaça Catalunya at the upper end of the Ramblas of Barcelona you will find one of the largest department stores, El Corte Inglés. I always knew about this department store but, surprisingly why, I have never explored it as this time. Apart from the fact that this Designer boutiques in this store include: Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Armani, Armani Jeans, Armani Collezioni, Gucci, Loewe,Dockers, Ralph Lauren, Bulgari, Dior, Dior Homme, Georges Rech, Versace, Hugo Boss, Boss Woman, Ermenegildo Zegna, Tommy Hilfiger, Dolce&Gabbana, Burberry and so on and so on, my head was going round from all these innumerable brands, and shop-bags in my hands, so that were my friends who rescued me from this “shopping paradise”.
You must know that after shopping race, you horribly want to eat something or even someone(joking) at the moment. On the zero-floor we found the remarkable El Gourmet Club – a supermarket with a restaurant which offer a large variety of delicatessens, dining spaces such as vegetarian food, pizza, oriental , from Basque region, oyster-cellar, Iberian products, ice cream and what is more impressive that they can cook some for you just in front of you. So just pick your dish, a glass of wine, some Spanish snacks and now it is turn of your stomach to be in paradise.
Moving upper you will go through perfumery and cosmetics, accessories, tourist agencies, women and men clothes, spa-salons, hairdressers, teen’s clothes, house goods and electronics, textile, furniture, book store, toys, small wares….and finally the top – La Rotonda

Now when you have tried some delicatessens here you can just free you sole watching on the Barcelona view with a champagne glass in your hand gracefully offered by the staff. So you can here order something more nutritious, something beautiful or even strange for you. Or just outline the next shopping track.
